In The Battle Of Integrity, Bob Knight Is The Integrittiest

by Les on December 18, 2009

Integrity. Now that’s a word you don’t hear very often in college sports.

Although many of you want to believe it’s not the case, NCAA rules are much like speed limits – very few actually pay attention to them.

Now we have Bob Knight, apparently suffering from a need for attention, calling out John Calipari in not so veiled missive.

“We’ve gotten into this situation where integrity is really lacking and that’s why I’m glad I’m not coaching,” Bob Knight said recently. Surprisingly, we’re saddened by that comment. I mean, don’t we all miss the random chair flying towards center court? Surely I’m not the only one.

He then continued, “you see we’ve got a coach at Kentucky who put two schools on probation and he’s still coaching. I really don’t understand that.”

It really is simple math Bob. Number of games won + number of Final Four appearances – number of violations + a bunch of indifference = blind eye.

Gonzaga v Texas Tech

“Holy shit. Some college coaches violate NCAA rules?”
